Notes: The AKC's Management Disciplinary Committee has suspended Mr. David Barnes, Bowersville, GA, from all AKC privileges for ten years, effective October 9, 2006, and imposed a $2000 fine for violation of AKC-s record keeping and dog identification practices. (Multiple Breeds)

Miscellaneous:
This breeder appears to be unlicensed by USDA.  This breeder was clearly in violation of the federal Animal Welfare Act when the puppy was sold, as the AKC suspension around the same time shows multiple breeds, and multiple ads on the internet indicate there are many more than the three female dogs allowed as an exemption for licensing by the USDA.  Because of the time frame, it is doubtful that USDA would do anything at this point, but I will continue to monitor the breeder for more puppies sold through pet stores and will file a complaint if more recent cases can be found.  If you would like to file a complaint yourself with the USDA, a sample complaint form can be found at http://www.petshoppuppies.com/fac.htm
