Inspection File:  None Available
Notes: The attending veterinarian has not been to the facility since 1/28/05.  The attending veterinarian must do a kennel check on an annual basis.

There were 6 medication that had expiration dated that have passed.  The owner has been leaving the needles in the multidose vials of medications.  This allows for contamination of the contents.  The owner must continually monitor the expiration dates of the medications to make sure that the animals are receiving the proper medications that are good and effective and use good aseptic procedures to prevent contamination of medications.

The metal survaces of the south and south west kennels have become severely rusted to the point that there are sections of the south kennel that the metal has completely rusted away.  This leaves sharp surfaces that cannot be cleaned and caneasily cause injury to the animals.  The owner must repair/replace any rusted metal in contact with the animals for the safety of the animals.

There are enclosures with sharp wired in multiple locations in the kennel.  These sharp wires can easily cause injury to the animals contained in the enclusures.

There are section of the north east kennel building where the divider wires have broken aprat.  These areas provide a space that can allow the animals legs to become trapped/injured.

There are sections of this building that the divider panels and front panels have become broken leaving holes of a substantial size  2X4 inches and larger.

The center east hutch type structure that is housing the Jack Russell Terriers have broken wires in the dividers to the point that the panels are free moving on the bottoms and there are areas wehre the wire had completely  broken apart.  The flooring of this kennel structure moves at least 2 inches vertically when the animals are bouncing.  The owner must remove/repair these sharp wires in a manner that will prevent the animals from injry.  The floors must be secured in a manner that prevents the flexing.  This is necessary for the health and well being of the animals.

The gravel in one enclsure has become compacted and caked dure to the dogs activities and waste that has been ground into the gravel.  This gravel cannot be cleaned and sanitized in its present condition.  The owner must remove/replace the compacted gravel in a manner that allows the enclosure to be properly cleaned on a daily basis.

There are 2 dosg that do not have any shelter from the elements.  There is a dshelter in the enclosure but an additional area must be provided to protect the animals from the elements.  This is necessary for the health and well being of the animals.

There are no dog houses in at least 20 pens.  The shelters were taken out the prior week for cleaning.  The owner must privde a dog house for all of the animals at all times.

There were 2 pens that multiple dogs in them.  One of these pens had 5 beagles in it and 3 large dogs in the second pen.  The shelter that was provided is too small for the animals to allb e in the shelter at the same time.  The owner must provide shelter suitable for the size and number of animals in the enclosure so that each animal can in the shelter structure to sit, stand and lie in a normal manner and to turn about freely.

The feeders in the north west building have an accumulation of oils/dirt/grime and around the top opening and metal lip inside of the feeders.

The feeders must have a cover on them to prevent the feed from being contaminated when the owners are cleaning the facility.

The feeders must be cleaned regularly to privde the dogs with wholesome, uncontaminated food.

The north west building has a build up of oils/grime on the walls, doors and plastic supporting structures.  This has not been properly cleaned in the recent past (at least 4 weeks) based upon the degree of accumulation.

The metal surfacaes of the interior doors and latches have a heavy accumulation of rust on them.

The floor of the western kennel building is of a ribbed aluminum material.  There is a substantial accumulation of dirt/grime/wate collected in the tracks of the floor.

There is a severe accumulation of spider webs/dust/dirt on the walls and upper surfaces of the carport type buildings.  The owner must clean all the surfaces regularly to prevent this accumulation of ails/dirt/grime/waste.  This is necessary for good husbandry practices and disease prevention.

Notes: The metal pens of the new western kennel and the supporting cattle panels of the sundowner type building have severe rusted surfaces.  There is evidence of pitting and some places where the tubing of the pens have rusted through.  All rusted metal surfaces in contact with the dogs must be sealed in a manner that allows them to be cleaned and sanitized and any that are weakened by the rust must be replaced.

The gravel in the pens has become caked and hard due to contamination.  The gravel must be removed/replaced to allow the pens to be properly cleaned.  This is necessary for good husbandry practices.

There are 7 pens with no shelters for the dogs and at least 3 pens with houses suitbale for only 1 dog but have 2 or 3 dogs in them.  The owner must provide shelters for the animals so that each animal has enough room in the shelters to assume normal postures.
